Customised material production of the highest standard – from the raw material quality and recipe development through to production precision

To meet the specific requirements of our customers, we don't just go to the limits of what's (currently) possible, we go beyond them. When it comes to our abrasives, this includes extensive research to develop the ultimate coating recipe for a required product. For instance, we make sure we find the most suitable materials for adhesives and paper. We won't hesitate to upgrade existing machines or invest in new ones specifically for one job.

For item AGC-5720-00 – which has its grit applied and gets processed into segment belts on the customer's premises – we worked closely with the weaver right from the start to ensure the right quality of raw materials. Then, work moved to the laboratory to develop the perfect coating recipes. Both stages are particularly important, because the precise assembly of the segments (two to three segments are linked to make belts measuring between 1.5 and 3.5 metres in width) calls for the smoothest and flattest edges possible.

AGC-5720-00 is manufactured in our coating facility with weight monitoring and distributed to a wide range of customers who use it for the industrial sanding of wooden boards. This means the segmented belt must be able to withstand high temperatures. The grit is prevented from clogging thanks to the use of an antistatic agent.
